Overview
BallotChain is a conceptual e-voting mobile app was designed to provide a secure and transparent voting process for the government of Nigeria using blockchain technology to ensure the integrity of the voting process by providing a tamper-proof record of votes.
The Problem
The current electoral process has too many problems with it, some of which include bribery, corruption and the usage of thugs to rig and disrupt elections. This undermines the integrity of the electoral process and can discourage voters participation. It takes a lot of time and can be annoying, stopping some people from voting at all. There is also the issue of lack of transparency which makes it difficult for voters to have confidence in the results.
